GREENVILLE —
One year ago, a local businessman lost his fight with cancer.
But the memory of David Pope has lived on in surprising ways during the past 12 months.
First, it was through the sounds of roaring engines at Superbowl Speedway.
This past week, it came in the form of a ornate mural painted on the sides of Pope’s truck.
And next month, there will be a big race to serve as yet another memorial to Pope, even as the trailer will be displayed in a Dallas truck show.
