GREENVILLE —
Just because an individual didn’t participate in the political party primary elections, or run as an independent candidate, doesn’t mean he or she can’t get their name on the November general election ballot.
Write-in candidates can begin filing next week, according to Hunt County Elections Administrator Mina Cook.
“Saturday is the first day they can file,” Cook said. However, her office is closed Saturday. “That means the filing date would be forwarded to Monday.”
Early voting for the July 31 Democratic Party and Republican Party primary runoffs begins Monday.
