One hurt in downtown wreck

GREENVILLE — One person was injured in a two-vehicle wreck in downtown Greenville around midday Tuesday.

According to a police officer at the scene, a woman driving a Chevy Monte Carlo was hit by a Buick LeSabre after running a red light at the corner of Wesley and Lee streets in downtown Greenville. Both cars came to a stop in front of the Chop Shop Mixed Martial Arts building.

The driver of the LeSabre was taken in an ambulance to Hunt Regional Medical Center for unspecified injuries, the officer said.
