GREENVILLE —
The departing director of the United Way of Hunt County will be feted in “classic” style this afternoon.
Bob Mason, who has served as executive director of the agency for the past three years, will be honored during a reception is scheduled from 4 until 6 p.m. at the United Way of Hunt County office, 2607 Lee Street in Greenville.
The theme for the event is classic cars and the title for the reception is “You’re a classic!”
Mason’s last day on the job is Friday. He is stepping down from the position and moving to Sugar Land to help with his son’s business. Mason’s last day on the job is expected to be Friday.
Mason was named as executive director in March 2010, after his previous involvement in the local funeral home industry, as a member of the United Way of Hunt County board and having volunteered with several area service agencies.
