Planning a night out on the town for New Year’s Eve? Wanting to know if the store where you bought the hors d’oeuvres for your year-end celebration is clean and sanitary?
The City of Greenville has posted the results of the latest inspections at local businesses and organizations on its web site, www.ci.greenville.tx.us.
The Greenville Health Department performs periodic, unannounced inspections at various restaurants and food service businesses.
Under the system, the lower the score the better. Violations found are listed as demerits, ranging from three to five points in severity. A zero is a “perfect” score, while a score of three or less is considered “excellent”, four to 10 is considered “good”, 11 to 19 is listed as “average”, 20 to 29 is considered “poor” and a score of 30 and above is a failing grade.
Aramark, the food vendor at L-3 Communications Integrated Systems, received a score of “9” for its Center Court outlet during an inspection Nov. 13 and the South Court outlet received a score of “7” during a Nov. 17 visit.
The Braum’s Ice Cream Store at 6601 Wesley Street earned a “3” ranking when it was inspected Nov. 7.
The Buffet Palace, 3202 Interstate 30 West, received a “4” score on Nov. 13.
Chicken Express, 6211 Wesley, was presented with a “3” score following a Nov. 26 inspection.
The City Bistro at 2508 Lee downtown was given a “20” rating on Nov. 15, although the Landon Winery in the same building received a perfect “0” score from an inspection on the same day.
The Comfort Suites hotel, 2005 Center Pointe, earned a “13” score during a November 13 visit.
The K & K Management Chevron store at 3509 Wesley received a “10” rating on Nov. 26.
The Kwik Check at 5004 Wesley was given a “6” score for a Nov. 9 inspection.
Max-A-Mart No. 4, 7717 Wesley, earned a “3” score on Nov. 26.
Molina’s No. 3, 8119 Wesley, garnered a rating of “15” on Nov. 26.
Rancho Viejo Mexican Grill, 5105 Interstate 30, received a “20” score following a Nov. 13 inspection.
Skate Safari, 5002 Moulton, rolled to a “3” score on a Nov. 13 visit.
And Wee Wisdom, 4122 Moulton, was presented with a “13” rating for a Nov. 7 inspection.
