GREENVILLE —
City of Greenville officials are still hoping to find someone to help plan for the city’s future, and fill a position which has been vacant for more than three months.
Applications are being accepted for the job of Greenville City Planner. The job has been open since former planner Lance Estep left in November to take the Planning Manager position with the City of Rockwall.
According to the city’s web site, the position will remain open until filled and while applications have reportedly been received, there was no word as of Friday when the interviewing process could begin.
The winning candidate, once chosen, would be eligible for a starting salary of between $45,610 and $70,000, depending on qualifications.
The City Planner works under the general direction of the City Manager in the administration of the city’s comprehensive zoning and development plan.
Applicants are required to possess a Masters Degree in Urban Planning or related field and a minimum two years municipal planning experience. The job also requires knowledge of the general principles and practices of urban planning.
