‘Little Fundraiser’ for Gary Little

GREENVILLE — Music and comedy are on tap today during a “A Little Fundraiser” in Quinlan.

The event is to benefit Gary Little of Quinlan who has an unusual range of vocational activities. Little works as a florist at Awesome Blossom in Quinlan, is also a licensed funeral director and does some standup comedy as well. Little is currently undergoing treatment for liver cancer.

Verlin Conkle is the master of ceremonies for today’s fundraiser, which begins at 4 p.m. at the Starlight Room at 2385 East Quinlan Parkway/State Highway 276. The Friends of Skidboot is scheduled to be the opening act, followed by a music show at 5 p.m. featuring Claxton Welch, Colton O’Neill, Chastity and Britnie and Renee.

A meal will be served, donations accepted, starting at 6:15 p.m., which is when the comedy portion of the program is also scheduled to get underway. Bringing the laughs will be Verlin, Mama Bell, the Komedy Kid, “Real Deal” Bill Richardson, “Wild Bill” Salamon and Stacy Foley.
