LONE OAK —
Few details were available Thursday evening in connection with a reported incident earlier in the day at a Lone Oak Independent School District campus.
Hunt County Chief Sheriff’s Deputy Rick McDonald said at least one sheriff’s unit was dispatched to the district’s College Street campus Thursday afternoon to provide transport of a student who had been taken into custody.
“Three students jumped a teacher,” McDonald said, noting at least one of the individuals involved in the disturbance was injured. “I think it was one of the three students.”
McDonald said the Lone Oak Police Department handled the incident.
Calls placed by the Herald-Banner to the Lone Oak Police Department and the Lone Oak Independent School District had not been returned as of press time Thursday.
