GREENVILLE —
A committee working to establish a new YMCA facility in Greenville is meeting again tonight.
The YMCA committee is set to convene at 5:30 p.m. in the community room of the Greenville Police Station, 3000 Lee Street.
The committee is scheduled to hear a presentation from Greg Sims, President/CEO of the Greenville Board of Development. A subcommittee is also set to be appointed to complete and analyze a five-year pro forma model.
The Greenville YMCA building turned 50 last year.
The fundraising campaign to build a new YMCA in Greenville was formally launched in June 2011.
The new facility is expected to cost about $8 million, with approximately half of the amount already raised or pledged.
The YMCA committee has been charged with coming up with a projected cost and an income model.
