GREENVILLE —
City of Greenville officials are preparing to remove a proposed residential subdivision from the city’s records.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled next month to consider vacating a plat which had been filed seven years ago for the Reata Trails Phase 1 subdivision.
A public hearing is set prior to the Commission’s taking a vote during the regular session scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Jan. 14 in the Municipal Building, 2821 Washington Street.
A notice for the meeting states the vacating of the plat is being initiated by the City of Greenville under Section 212.013 of the Texas Local Government Code, which allows for the proprietors of the tract covered by a plat to vacate the plat at any time before any lot in the plat is sold.
Reata Trails was one of several local subdivisions for which plats had been approved and filed during 2005, but for which construction had never begun.
