GREENVILLE — Greenville and Hunt County have a 50-50 chance of improving their rainfall totals today.
The National Weather Service has forecast a 50 percent chance of more showers and/or thunderstorms, primarily this afternoon.
At 11 a.m., a line of showers and storms were moving northeast to southwest across Fannin County, although no severe weather was in reported in the area.
The storms which crossed the area Saturday and Sunday were powerful, with often heavy rains, but were scattered, so some places received drenchings while other locations came up empty.
Officially, Majors Field Municipal Airport in Greenville received only about a quarter-inch of rain during the weekend.
Due to the rains, the Texas Forest Service has listed Hunt County under "low" fire danger conditions today.
