GREENVILLE —
A Smith County man is expected to plead guilty to participating in an alleged oil field fraud scheme which cost investors hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Donald Joseph Dean of Tyler is scheduled to enter the plea to a charge of selling securities without registration during a hearing Wednesday morning in the 196th District Court. Two other defendants have pleaded guilty to charges associated with the scheme, one had charges dropped and a fifth defendant currently has a warrant out for his arrest concerning the case investigated by the Texas State Securities Board.
