Flynn, Alexander to debate

COMMERCE — Incumbent State Representative Dan Flynn and challenger George Alexander will participate in a forum for candidates in Hopkins and Hunt County at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Ferguson Social Sciences Auditorium at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

The forum is sponsered by the Texas A&M University-Commerce Colony of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Hunt County African American Leadership Conference.

Flynn and Alexander, both Republican candidates, are campaigning to represent the recently-defined house of representatives District Two, which covers Hopkins, Hunt and Van Zandt County. No Democrats have filed to run for the house seat.
