Suspects sought in multiple vehicle burglaries

GREENVILLE — The Greenville Police Department is seeking two suspects who are believed to have participated in more than a dozen motor vehicle burglaries this week.

According to the report from the police department, between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday approximately 13 motor vehicle burglaries occurred, along with the theft of a truck from a residence at No. 5 Oak Village Drive.

A relative of the owner of the truck later spotted the vehicle on U.S. Highway 69 north of Greenville and was able to follow the truck until it pulled into a driveway off of County Road 1033. The relative confronted the two subjects who were in the truck and they fled on foot. The two

subjects were described as a thin white male and a heavy set Hispanic male.

The two suspects were still reported at large as of this morning.

Officers from the Greenville Police Department and the Hunt County Sheriff’s Department responded to the location and the truck was found to contain a considerable amount of the property taken in the motor vehicle burglaries. The truck was driven to the Greenville Police Department, where it was processed for evidence.

The Greenville Police Department is in the process of contacting the victims of the reported offenses in an attempt to return the stolen property.
