GREENVILLE —
The 83rd regular session of the Texas Legislature convened last week, with lawmakers preparing to tackle another long list of issues.
The Greenville Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau is planning to make sure local voices are heard, by organizing the next Hunt County Days trip on March 27-28.
Those attending Hunt County Days will have a chance to tour the capitol building in Austin, while meeting with state government officials, legislators and agency leaders.
Participants in Hunt County Days are asked to deliver copies of the position statements, along with a gift, to state legislators, in the process receiving an opportunity to meet one-on-one with lawmakers.
The position statements for the upcoming Hunt County Days will be developed in the next few weeks.
Additional details about the Hunt County Days event are available at 903-455-1510 or through the Chamber’s web site at www.greenvillechamber.com.
