Chamber scheduled economic forecast breakfast

GREENVILLE — These days, it is easier to decide whether to take an umbrella to work than to predict what is in store for the economy ahead.

The Greenville Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau is hoping to provide a little assistance by bringing in an expert guest speaker during the annual Economic Forecast Breakfast.

The event is scheduled at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 13 at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center, 5501 South Highway 69 in Greenville.

The Chamber has invited John V. Duca, Vice President and Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, to speak at the breakfast.

Duca is expected to provide perspective on the national economic outlook by discussing major trends, particularly in business investment and real estate.

Duca is not permitted to comment on the future course of interest rates or stock prices, although his presentation is designed to focus on making sense of the national economy and, as time permits, providing perspective on the Texas economy.

The event is open to all chamber members and the public The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.

Those wanting more information can contact the Greenville Chamber at 903-455-1510 or visit www.greenvillechamber.com.
