GREENVILLE —
Women from Rains and Van Zandt counties are the latest defendants to have been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to being a member of a widespread identity theft ring operating in Hunt County.
Stephanie Marie Bain pleaded guilty Wednesday and Shana Lynn Spurgeon pleaded guilty Monday to charges of engaging in organized criminal activity.
Under plea bargain arrangements Bain, 26, of Point was sentenced to eight years, and Spurgeon, 37, of Wills Point, was sentenced to two years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division.
