GREENVILLE —
The local chapter of the Sons of the American (SAR) is celebrating its silver anniversary today.
The Ambassador Fletcher Warren Chapter is also wanting to recognize its members who have served in the military.
A special awards ceremony is scheduled at 2 p.m. at the W. Walworth Harrison Public Library, 1 Lou Finney Lane in Greenville.
The chapter is commemorating its 25th anniversary, while also recognizing and honoring the charter members, members who have served in the military armed forces, inducting two new SAR members, recognizing members who have maintained membership for five years or more, and others in the community who have made significant contributions in helping the chapter achieve its patriotic and educational goals and objectives.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
