Standoff ends; one arrested
An armed standoff east of Greenville ended peacefully Tuesday evening, after a tactical unit with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office was able to take one man into custody.

HMHD incumbent opts not to run again
A total of four seats on the Hunt Memorial Hospital District Board of Directors are up for election in May, and three of the incumbents have re-filed. However, the fourth seat will likely not be decided by the public as Precinct 2 board member John Nelson is not seeking another term.
