Voting for 'right' Bob

To the editor:

I read with interest the letter to the editor by Mr. Jerry Speight. I agree with you that Bob Deuell is a great guy who “I think” is deeply committed to the citizens of Senate District 2 — however — he is not a conservative. Right-to-life and NRA support are not the only issues. Deuell continues to get an “F” on every scorecard. He wants to raise the Gasoline Tax and appoint Judges to the bench.

We must continue to elect judges. Bob Hall will not raise the Gas Tax and supports the election of Judges. Hall also does not advocate spending all of the Rainy Day Fund. In addition, Deuell took $135,000 from Open Borders Bob Perry. Wonder what that money will cost Senate District 2? The Special Interest does buy influence. Bob Hall will not bow at the altar of the Special Interest.

Senator Deuell has become a member of the Club in Texas. In the Senate Chamber they have an inside-the-park game going on. They are playing the shell game and Deuell is part of the club. We need new leadership in SD2.

The Right “Bob” is Bob Hall.

I write to support the YMCA bond election from a perspective of the role they provide in the health of our community. As a health care professional, I have long understood and supported the need and development of a comprehensive Health and Wellness Center which could serve not only as a fitness center and playground, but as a cornerstone for building and maintaining healthy bodies and lifestyles.
