GREENVILLE —
To the editor:
This morning (March 5) I read the obituaries in the Herald-Banner as I always do (just to see if I am in it). The obit that caught my eye was for Dr. Joan Echols of Commerce who passed from this world sometime between Feb. 18 and 20, 2013. It insinuated that she lived alone and said she left no family. That cannot be so, if she had friends and neighbors like these who have written such a loving tribute. I would hope that I will be remembered by such as these. It does my heart good to learn of such love and devotion. She must have been a wonderful lady. Thank you for reminding me that there are truly angels right here on earth.
Sincerely,
Bill Weizbrod

Vote for new Y
I write to support the YMCA bond election from a perspective of the role they provide in the health of our community. As a health care professional, I have long understood and supported the need and development of a comprehensive Health and Wellness Center which could serve not only as a fitness center and playground, but as a cornerstone for building and maintaining healthy bodies and lifestyles.

In support of new Y
