You’re not alone

GREENVILLE — Going to the doctor for a mammogram can be uncomfortable, but receiving a breast cancer diagnosis can be downright scary.

Add in all the discussions with doctors in regard to treatment and the entire experience can quickly become overwhelming, to say the least.

Now, imagine having to go through all of that — a battery of tests, receiving word from your doctor that it is, indeed, breast cancer and having to undergo various treatments, some with side effects so heinous they make the body and mind extremely sick — all alone.

To some, that can be more intimidating than the diagnosis itself. To others, it’s downright unacceptable and they’ve made it their personal mission to ensure that no one is left to fight the fight on their own.
