Donations made to FISH:
Jimmy Vaughn, left, representing Authentic Life Fellowship Church in Greenville, presents paperwork registering 7,986 pounds of food donated for FISH, to Mary Standfield, chairman of Hunt County Cares and Shares Food Drive. The church had already donated 859 pounds. The easiest way to make contributions, according to Standfield, is to donate the money directly to FISH headquarters (Hunt County Shared Ministries), 2805 King, which will credit the donor and then purchase the food from a food bank at lower prices. Actual canned goods and other non-perishable foods for the drive may also be contributed at the Herald-Banner office, Monday through Friday. The drive ends at 5 p.m., Nov. 11.
