Death Notice



Morris Wayne Davis, 56, of Greenville died Nov. 27, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Services are pending with Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.

Mendell R. Holley of Lone Oak, graveside service 10:30 a.m. today at Sullivan Cemetery in Campbell off 513 between Campbell and Lone Oak. Lynch Funeral Service of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.

Albino “Bino” Reyes, 59, of Greenville died Nov. 24, 2006, in a Dallas hospital. Services are at 10 a.m. today at Peters Funeral Home chapel. Burial follows at Sullivan Cemetery.



Maybian Harvey



COMMERCE — Maybian Taylor Harvey, 92, of Commerce died Nov. 27, 2006. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home chapel with David Gibson officiating. Burial follows in Rosemound Cemetery.

Daughter of D.M. and Pearl Utley Taylor, she was born Jan. 1, 1914, in Carter, Okla. On Aug. 28, 1939, she was married to Julian Harvey in Walters, Okla. She received her B.S. degree from East Texas State University in 1937 and a master’s degree in 1949. Mrs. Harvey taught 42 years in several North Texas schools. She retired from Commerce Public Schools after 28 years where she was a second grade teacher. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and Women’s Culture Club. Mrs. Harvey was a member of the Church of Christ in Commerce.

Survivors are a brother-in-law, Larry Harvey and wife Anna of Mount Pleasant; cousins Charles Taylor of Missouri, Muriel Taylor of Oklahoma and Lou Creber of Arizona; special friends Nelda Carter of Canyon Lake and Tommy Carter of San Antonio; caregivers Lois Ingram of Paris and Shirley Edge of Oklahoma; and nieces and nephews.

Her husband, parents and an infant brother preceded her in death.

Pallbearers are Randy Clark, Ed Garrett, Alvis Alderman, Howard Lambert, Lynn Turner, Mike Anderson, James Hawkins and Joe Davis. Honorary pallbearers are the staff of First Choice Home Health.

Memorials may be made to the Commerce Church of Christ Building Fund.



Jack Kinworthy



Jack Kinworthy, 69, of Campbell died Nov. 27, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel in Greenville with Rev. David Burns officiating. Burial will be in Brigham Cemetery.

Born Sept. 21, 1937, in Grand City, Ill., he was the son of Alvis and Elizabeth Warren Kinworthy. He married Mary Roddy on Jan. 9, 1959, in Oklahoma. Mr. Kinworthy served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Raytheon where he worked in parts control. Mr. Kinworthy was a Baptist. He loved his grandchildren and had a love for fishing, hunting and being outdoors.

Surviving are his wife of Campbell; his mother, Elizabeth Warren Willaby of Campbell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy Kinworthy and Vickie Hartline of Campbell and Ronnie and Karie Kinworthy of Commerce; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Eric Blankenship of Castalian Springs, Tenn., and Shanna and Brent Gluck of Campbell; brothers Bill Kinworthy of Illinois and Johnny Willaby of Florida; a sister, Pat Stoker of Fostoria, Ohio; grandchildren Mindy Plunkett of Gallatian, Tenn., Chris Kinworthy of Commerce; Brittney Duplechan, Cassie Duplechan, Shawn Hartline and Blaine Gluck of Campbell, and Dallas Blankenship of Castalian Springs, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his father; his stepfather, John Willaby; and two brothers, Chuck and Gerald Kinworthy.

Pallbearers will be B.D. Thompson, Allen Blunt, Phillip Roddy, Eric Blunt, J.W. Reeves Jr., and Greg Willaby.



‘Bill’ Williams



B.D. “Bill” Williams, 71, of Greenville died Nov. 19, 2006, in Sherman following a long struggle with lung cancer and Lambert-Eaton Syndrome.

A Celebration of Life memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Sunday at Peters Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Layman officiating.

“Billy Don” was born Sept. 9, 1935, near Greenville to J. R. (Jack) and Ruby Williams. He graduated from Greenville High School where he received the top award for math and science. In 1957 he graduated from Texas A&M; College where he also received a commission in the United States Air Force. A longtime resident of Greenville, he worked as an aeronautical engineer for Temco, then E-Systems for many years. Together with a cousin, Kenneth Parker, he established an air-conditioning business, Delta T Systems, in the mid-1970s. Later he was a partner in the firm East Texas Engineering, Inc. Beginning in the 1980s he worked for Wright’s Air Conditioning Company for many years. He was a Registered Professional Engineer.

He is survived by sons Kevin Williams and wife Susan of Edmond, Okla., and David Williams and wife Jill of Greenville; grandchildren Jeremy Williams and Jennifer Williams of Edmond, Okla., and Jillian Williams and James Vaughan of Greenville; a nephew, Keith Slemmons and wife Pety of Royse City; nieces Connie Slemmons of Sugar Land and Lei Ann Starling and daughter Cori of Hendersonville, N.C.; and special friends Linda Hollywood and Idanell Campbell, Shayla Lewis and husband Mathew, Stacy Trentham and husband Frank, Danell Hartford and husband David, Morgan Lewis, Caden Lewis, Trey Trentham, Haley Trentham, Aja Hartford and Bali Hartford, all of Greenville.

His parents and a sister, Barbara Slemmons, preceded him in death.

The deceased and family especially wish to thank longtime friends Linda and James Livingston, Linda and Ralph Hollywood, Jill Williams, Danell Hartford and other caretakers and medical professionals that have provided loving care and support for the past several years.
